Internship: Guidance Office Intern at Auburn Middle School

The HSRS Department was very helpful in working with me to find an internship that fit my interests and gave me constant support throughout my semester at Auburn Middle School. The classes I have taken at Assumption provided a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that helped me get the most out of my experience.

Internship: Student Teacher at Forest Avenue Elementary School

My student teaching experience has taught me that forming relationships with your students is so important. Taking time to learn where they come from and about their background helps me to tailor my teaching styles. I want to make every student feel comfortable in my classroom so they can reach their potential.

Internship: World Wide Planning Intern at EMC

While at EMC, I had the opportunity to work in Ireland for one week. This was a great learning experience! I got to meet individuals I had collaborated with virtually. It was amazing to see how the work environment is different from the United States. I was able to share some strategies with them that are used in the United States to help globalize the planning operations at EMC.

Internship: Finance Intern at Saint-Gobain Northeastern Division

While working with the Finance Department I learned how to follow money and track its location through wirings, money orders, invoices, and liquid assets that are not always accounted for on the day to day operations. I also learned how to engage with a team and work together to reach an overall goal.

Internship: Student Teacher at Wachusett Regional High School

All of my English and education classes helped to prepare me for my student teaching experience. I know my content and have been mentored by my professors. I have gotten so much feedback and many ideas from my professors, which has been invaluable during my student teaching experience.

Internship: Student Teacher at Hudson High School

Assumption's Education Department gave me the necessary skills and tools to effectively manage and teach a classroom of high school students. The college's liberal arts foundation has helped me to become cognizant of the skills students learn from studying history and has shown me how those skills transcend all subjects in school.

Internship: Student Teacher at Oak Middle School

Assumption has provided me with many opportunities to student teach and for instructed me in educational methods that I can use inside the classroom. I have learned many things form my student teaching experience, but the most important thing is to be flexible because no teaching day ever goes perfectly.

I have been able to learn from and collaborate with some of the best teachers and also gain independence and confidence at Wawecus. While I have been faced with challenges, I have also come to see what a rewarding profession teaching truly is.
