The Department of Art, Music & Theatre presents The Assumption String Camerata performing music of Bach, Elgar and Carr on Thursday, April 20th at 3:00pm in The Chapel of the Holy Spirit. The ensemble is now in its eleventh year of presenting the great string ensemble repertoire. This event is free and open to the public.
This will be the final concert performance of the Assumption College Band for the school year. In addition to performing works from the major concert band repertoire the performance will be highlighted with featured performances by several instrumental ensembles and soloists.

The Assumption College HumanArts series presents an organ recital featuring Pr. Dr. Marie-Bernadette Dufourcet. The program will include French music from the Romantic period to the 20th century (Widor, Franck, Tournemire, Duruflé, Dufourcet, Hakim), completed by an improvisation on Gregorian chant proper to the liturgical time. The Bach Consort of Worcester returns to open the 2016-2017 HumanArts series with a guest artist on the Baroque recorder, Héloïse Degrugillier. The Consort will also be continuing their series of concerti grossi, featuring Handel’s Concerto Grosso op. 6 no. 1, and Corelli’s Concerto Grosso op. 6 no. 7.

The Assumption College HumanArts series presents Renaissance Men. Founded in January 2014, Boston's professional all male chamber ensemble, Renaissance Men, is devoted to exploring the wealth of largely neglected men's ensemble repertoire found across history and transcending numerous genres.
The Assumption College Chorale will present their annual “Sounds of the Season” holiday concert, featuring both favorite carols and less familiar seasonal music. Michelle Graveline, Director; Brett McGuire, accompanist.
